growing up, Michèle had no interest in hitting people, until her mother enrolled her in Taekwondo; where she proceeded to hit people carefully and with consent for nine years. She achieved her World Taekwondo federation-certified second degree black belt in 2015 and transitioned to pretending to hit people (stage combat) in 2019 at Sarah Lawrence College under Sterling, Trevor, and Emma Swann. Michèle holds six SAFD recommended passes in unarmed, broadsword, single sword, sword and shield, rapier and dagger, and quarterstaff combat (J. David Brimmer, adjudicator.)
